Alternatively, you can take the train to Naples and then the Siremar ship from Naples to Lipari.
Or drive to Naples and board the Siremar ship to Lipari.
The ship has a frequency of several times a week (in the summertime) departing in the evening at 8:00 p.m. from Naples and arriving at about 10:30 a.m. the next morning in Lipari.

Connections to the other islands in the archipelago have schedules that change throughout the year, so it is always a good idea to check the shipping companies' official websites.

Once landed on the island, "Villa La Milanina" is about 1.3 km from the port and can be reached by cab or, for the more athletic, even on foot with a walk of about 15 minutes through Lipari's main street.
At the port there are several points where you can rent a scooter, which remains the best way to get around Lipari and, especially in August, you will not have the problem of parking and you can stop at the different viewpoints of the island to take beautiful photographs!
Alternatively, renting a car is also recommended, for those who do not feel up to moving around on foot and by public transportation, which in any case is present on the island and connects the different beaches and locations on the island.
The URSO line has very frequent runs from the port to Canneto (a very popular resort with a pebble beach and a beautiful promenade to reach the more famous white beaches and the white beach).
The island of Lipari is not a hit-and-run destination but really offers a lot of things to see and do and above all, for those who have the chance, it should be visited in peace and quiet when it is not too crowded to fully enjoy its beauty.
